Work Mission 2008: Baltimore, Maryland!

This work mission is a continuation of the work mission effort started in 1997 with Berea UMC. That year 44 youth and adults went to Bad River Indian Reservation in Wisconsin and stayed for a week helping on the reservation.

Our Mission Statement

It is the goal of the youth work mission to seek out the areas to work where a need exists either from natural disaster or poverty. We as a team of youth and adults strive to relieve the suffering of individuals and families by the strength of our hands and hearts. This may include clean-up and construction projects on homes, churches and community buildings. The skills of our young missionaries continue to grow every year and we are able to accomplish increasingly more difficult tasks. We continue to provide training throughout the year to develop the skills of our missionaries to ensure that all missionaries feel capable and safe as they strive to do God’s work.
